Meet Shirley!

We'd like to introduce you to our new daughter, Shirley:

Shirley Temple, that is.

Where did those amazing curls come from, you ask?

The man responsible for this can be seen smiling at his amazing work! :-)
He's been bugging me about getting curlers for her hair for a looooong time!

His claim would be that if it looks good, he did it. If it looks bad, I did it. So who do YOU think did it? Be honest!

Just a cute little side note: When the curlers were being taken out this morning (Sunday morning; I realize this will show up on Monday since it is after midnight), I said, "Hey, Shirley Temple!" or something to that effect. Jessica just kind of gave me a funny smile kind of like the pic above and made a disagreeing kind of sound. Anyway, a few minutes later, when they were all out, she went and looked in the mirror. She came back and said excitedly, "I DO look like Shirley Temple!" It was very cute! So we've had a little Shirley Temple for a day at least. We're hoping the curls will still look okay for school in the morning. :-)

Great job Jeremy! I love those kind of hairdos because they do last for more than one day.

It is DARLING! She looks so grown up!

That is soooo cute. Adorable. I wouldn't even know how to do a girls hair. Heck, I barely even know how to do my own.
Way to cute.

Sharebear, I could do your hair like that! Or, Jer could do your hair like that!

I love Shirley Temple so that means I love Jess more. Darling!

Wow, I'm very impressed that he did that. It looks so cute. At first, I thought it was a wig, but no. It was just a great curling job. Very cute.

Shirley Temple is right. You should be able to count on at least 4 days of some sort of curly hair do.

Ouch though, I remember sleeping on those. How did she do?

She said it did kind of hurt, but I think she liked the curls. I asked her if it was worth it hurting for the curls, and she said no. I'm not sure whether she understood exactly what I was asking, though. I imagine she'll let us do it again sometime, but it probably won't be this weekend! ;-)

Yes, my husband is so domestic! He does her hair more than I do, which is really funny since I soooo looked forward to having a little girl so that I could do her hair, and now that I have one I hardly do it. I guess I've lost my patience--or never had any. I think my last child needs to be a girl so that maybe I can enjoy that kind of thing more without other little ones to worry about. We'll see. :-)

Impressive job Jeremy! I am the one who does hair in my house, but you'd think that it would be easy with a boy. Wrong. I tried to cut his hair a week ago and he was so wiggly. He turned his head just as I was snipping around his ear and now it looks like there is a freeway over the top of it. Someone suggested that I put "steps" into the sides of his hair, but 1985 has passed and so have the steps!

Nice curls! I remember my mom putting curlers in my hair when I was a girl. It felt like I was sleeping on a porcupine that night, but the hair-do sure rocked! I know what you mean about not doing Jessicas hair. I rarely do much to Allie's hair, just because it takes effort and I'm kind of a slacker. I keep telling her how beautiful she looks with straight hair! :)
