They're not coming. They probably could have made a flight here, but the flights going back after Christmas looked bad, and they wanted to get home before New Year's Eve for some family parties. Also they were concerned about potential weather issues and our distance from the airport, as well as getting stranded if they didn't get on a flight. If only we were like Sharon or Wendy...

I am so sorry to hear that- I know this was going to make Christmas extra special for your family. Hope your holiday is special anyway...
Shucksy darn. I know they were really looking forward to coming. Hopefully they will get to soon.
Just for clarification for me, why do you need to be more like Sharon and Wendy?
What a bummer. We dealt with that a lot when we lived away from family. It was always such a downer. I am sure you'll still have a great time with those silly kids of yours. They are what really makes for a fun holiday.
Sharon and Wendy live a lot closer to airports Mom and Dad can fly into. Skywest doesn't fly near us, so the closest is 3 1/2 hours drive.
She means Shauna and Wendy.
Ya, she means Shauna 'cause it is orange season and our weather is warmer and the kids would love to see them and anyone else can come for Christmas and. . .oops--am I inviting Mom and Dad for Christmas? I mean, that is really too bad. Darn that big bad Texas weather.
I'm sorry. What a bummer. I hope they will get to make up for it some other time. I hope this doesn't put a damper on your Christmas spirit. We love ya.
Ugh. Why did you have to say what you really meant about being like Sharon/Shauna and Wendy? Didn't you know how much FUNNNNN I was going to have with my comment?
Spoiled!
chock bex
I'll do it anyway!
