Here's just a quick peek at what we've been working on for the past month. (We've had a few interruptions, which I'll get to in another post, but we did most of it before Thanksgiving. It's almost done now...)
What do you think?
We thought we'd try the European approach to public restrooms (or WC), since this is the more public of our two bathrooms. A lovely hole in the ground. We may even see if we can find some really rough, sandpapery toilet paper to go along with it (only one square per use, though, and it'll cost ya*), just so that we can really help any foreign visitors feel right at home. Maybe we could even get my sister to come visit, since she used to live over there; she might feel more at home here this way! Then again, that could be why she left there...

Now that is a perfect fit if I ever saw one!
No cutting required to get around the door frame, and the corner of the tile went to just the right spot. PERFECT! :-)

So how does it look? Anyone need to use a bathroom?
What do you think of our grout color? ;-)
More to come...
*(Disclaimer: Some comments were slightly exaggerated referring to European public restrooms and toilet paper... but only slightly!) ;-)

Looks good, guys. A lot of hard work, but very rewarding.
no thanks, I will pass on the Europeeeean or whatever country....style toilets. Is this going to be done before my parents get there, because I don't think they like to use holes in the ground.
