Tonight while we were eating dinner, Jessica said, "Some children at school are not brushing their teeth and are going to get cabits!" Then she proceeded to explain to us what cabits were and what happens to the teeth. It was very cute. We told her it was called cavities, and she said, smiling, "Oh, yeah! Cavities!" and laughed. I'm glad she can laugh at herself. We just thought that was funny. It was also a reminder that I need to be better about having her brush her teeth. We wouldn't want her to get any cabits! :-)

Jessica, don't forget to brush tonight and think about me when you do....good night.
Teach her to hum a song the whole time she is brushing. That makes it fun. I tell my kids (that famous saying that you see hanging in everyone's bathrooms) "You don't have to brush all of your teeth, just the ones you want to keep."
