Our sweet little Matthew is 6 months old today, so I (Tami) thought I'd share a couple of his mirthday pictures with you. To explain to anyone who may not understand what we do, we picked up this idea from my brother and his wife. We call the month birthday a mirthday, and on every mirthday for the first year of life, we take a picture of the baby with the same stuffed animal so that you can see the growth progression. The really sweet thing here for Matthew's animal is that when it was his first mirthday and we were needing to pick a stuffed animal for him to have, most of our stuffed animals were already packed up because we were moving the next week. Sweet Jessica willingly offered her panda bear (which she got on her first birthday) to her baby brother. She first offered something else, but when we explained that it would no longer be hers but would be Matthew's from then on to keep, she said he could have the panda instead. Then she said that maybe when he grew up and didn't want it anymore he could give it back to her. I thought that was kind of funny, especially since she'll be grown up before he is. We told her not to expect it back though. Anyway, it was very unselfish of her to give it up for him to have something for his mirthday pictures. So here's our cute, little, 6-month-old boy with his panda bear.
Cute Quote
Here's just a cute quote for tonight. We were over at Wal-Mart looking at fabric, and I was talking to the lady working there. She was helping me look for fabric and was commenting on a particular one, saying that it was something fancier or nicer that people with no kids might use but not with kids, and she said, "I'd rather have children than that!" I just found that kind of cute and funny, and a very good attitude. She's got the right idea in that children are worth more than having nice things. I asked her if I could blog that, and she said I could. I just thought it was very cute. There have been plenty of times I've thought it would be so nice to have a new whatever but that it wasn't worth it while I have small children, so I have to say honestly, "I'd rather have children than that!" :-)

He is so cute. He reminds me of Sharon at that age...my brain must be pulling out familiar scenes that I am too little to remember. Sweet.

What a sweetheart! Could you imagine having a great big fluffy fur coat or a Persian rug, or a couch without jam stains instead of that sweet baby? Somehow they make it all worth it!
Love BonBon!
Perfect quote. Perfect Picture. I miss him. Happy mirthday.
