The storm last night missed us by about 5 miles. This storm had hail the size of golf balls and winds up to 70 mph.
Of course pictures can never do justice to what we were actually seeing.
I tried to get video but the camera was having a hard time focusing because of the constant flashes from the lightning.

Those are pretty awesome! Do you get to experience that often?
Thanks for sending me the other ones.
WOW! Those are fantastic pics! How frightening though!!! What part of TX are you guys in? That is part of the reason I insisted we do not move there!!!
We're up in the panhandle near OK. We've been pretty fortunate that it has mostly hit around us but not caused any damage where we are. It has caused problems for some others in our ward, though, who live in a nearby town. It's really not too scary generally. If we had a real tornado scare I'd probably be more concerned! :-)
Those pictures are amazing!!!! Dave and I love wild weather. We are going to miss the crazy monsoons just by a couple of weeks. Darn it!!! Back to overcast "June Gloom" Day long drizzle and the "Santa Anna's" But, it will be so nice going from 115 degrees to 75 when we get there on Friday.
We are moving back to Santa Paula where my family is. We are staying on my parents ranch until we find something cheap (yeah right) in either Camarillo or Santa Paula.
I think we experience some similar weather here sometimes, and I for one do no enjoy it. Lightening, thunder, and tornados, (not to mention hurricanes) are just not my thing... cool pics though.
