We had a storm blow through yesterday evening around 5 pm. This storm produced large hail ranging from quarter size to softball size. Plus this storm spawned tornadoes that touched down outside of town. We thought that we had been spared any damage when we looked today. But tonight Tami noticed this. 
I only put the baseball up there as a comparison as to the size of the hole. We are guessing that a baseball size hail hit it. We were in Dallas all day yesterday and didn't get home till 1:30am.

For a minute I wondered how you could have missed that noise, but then you mentioned you were out of town. Whew. Glad everyone is okay.
